Luterma chairs, twenties of the last century

The best of Estonian furniture in 1877-1940. These chairs were made to be exported to France, where Luther Factory had an agency.

We are happy to offer you a new product – a handmade retractable dining table. As a sample for making the table I used similar tables made at the beginning of the last century. The size, joints, assembly and finishing are similar to the tables made some hundred years ago. The table comes with two leaves.

As a finishing material we have used oak, birch, ash, walnut or similar. The shade of oil stain can be selected as per the client’s wish. We use water-borne varnish. Veneers of the board are arranged in a diagonal pattern.

Very often decorative elements made of walnut were used in old tables. Additional materials help to change the appearance of the table. Very often oak and walnut were matched together – this gave the piece special touch and a unique appearance.

Size of the table:

height 750-850 mm

minimum diameter 1000mm or 1200 mm
with one leaf 1700 mm

with two leaves 2200 mm
weight 75kg

A table without leaves seats freely four people, a table with one leaf up to six people and a table with two leaves up to ten people. This means that this table is very convenient and functional for everyday use as well as for more festive occasions.
